I had a phone call with a recruiter who scheduled me for an interview with the genetic counselor's office. She told me to email her if I need to reschedule or if I had any questions. Due to a medical emergency, I emailed a few days before the interview asking to reschedule. I heard nothing for two weeks, before finally reaching out and being told they had moved on with another candidate. Choosing someone else was not the problem. It was a competitive position and there were a lot of applicants. I was upset with how little communication there was. To me, it was extremely unprofessional to leave a candidate in the dark due to something they could not control. I had interviewed at a Labcorp for another position and had a pleasant experience, so maybe it was just this specific office.
