I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lam Research (Fremont, CA) in Aug 2021
Interview
I was interviewed online via Teams in Fremont, CA. I had multiple rounds of interviews with experts on the team with each taking ~45 mins. Started at 9 am and ended in a fruitful discussion with VP at 5 pm.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. They ask us to give a presentation/seminar about our previous work and projects. The seminar is timed for 45 mins followed by 15 mins for any questions from the panel. 2. Then each member of the panel (I had 5) will have a separate discussion with us for ~45mins. The questions were mainly about the seminar I gave.
First phone interview from the hiring manager, within a week followed by an onsite interview that consists of 1-hr presentation w/ Q&A and three 45-min sessions each with two interviewers.

Question 1
Can you tell me what would you do if you have a passive and slow-progress collaborator?
Did not get the offer. In person interview. Did a presentation for an hour with about 30-40 people in the audience (online and in-person). Questions were about problem solving and coursework applicability. Overall a good experience.

Question 1
Coursework applicability to real world systems, and problem solving ability.
I had an onsite. The group that interviewed me seemed very unfriendly and unwelcoming from the very start of the interview. In prior interview experiences, I have felt like the interviewers were always very warm even if the job ended up not being a match. Based on this interaction, I would not have wanted to work on this team.
