After applying to their LinkedIn posting I was contacted to complete a coding exercise. The instructions required a google account which I didn't have. After emailing several times, the person you always talk to when first starting the interview process was kind enough to send me the instructions without needing to use google. I completed the exercise in about a day and let her know. She showed interest in seeing the completed code and sharing it with the hiring team. For anyone interested, was a simple assessement using a mocked up website and Playwright.
So after a week I emailed, no response. After two weeks I started emailing more frequently. Finally due to the number of emails(squeaky wheel), she responded saying they are a small company and have a lot of technical assessments to review, and they would contact me via LinkedIn once they had reviewed mine. She also tried to push me away from the job saying it's a small company, maybe not what I'm looking for. I currently work for a startup...
I responded that I was never told their process, and now that I know, I would not contact her again unless something changed with my job search. That was three weeks ago. First contact by the person who always screens you at any company was January, so total time has been nearly two months.
