I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Loughborough University.
Interview
I had to prepare a presentation about key elements required in the rob role. There was no right or wrong answer, but I think they just wanted to gauge my creativity, knowledge and presentation skills. Apart from that there was a standard interview with three people on the panel associated with the project. There were no surprising questions, mainly relating to my experience, papers in the pipeline, aspirations, etc. It was a positive experience.

Interview
Two stage interview - both stages were a combination of technical & general questions. While, the technical questions were expected, I lacked confidence in responding to general questions; however, I secured the position at the end. I believe one can prepare for such interviews by googling relevant terms

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Loughborough University (Loughborough, England) in July 2017.
Interview
I turned up around 15 minutes early.
They gave me time to sit and wait, offered me a drink. And told me I had to do a skills test.
I went into the 15 minute test.
Then I went into the interview situation (2 people interviewed me).
They talked me through the process and let me know more about the role I'd applied for.
Then they asked me a few interview questions.
Following this, I had to present, and we talked throughout.
I then was asked a few more interview questions.
And then asked if I had any questions for them. (I asked a few, as you should)
Then to finish the interview they explained what would happen next if I was successful/unsuccessful. And how long it would take to hear.
They said they'd contact via email through HR if unsuccessful after a few days/week, or if successful they would call later that day/the following day.
It was friendly throughout, and allowed me to feel comfortable. It wasn't over done so you feel challenged or like they were trying to trick you out on the questions. Overall it's the best interview experience I've had, and was extremely happy that it led to me getting the role.

Interview
Interview process was very welcoming. After signing in at reception, I was greeted by a PhD student who took me on a tour of the labs and explained other work people were doing in the department. This was followed by a 30 minute interview by a panel of 4 researchers - all involved in the research project. After this I had a conversation with a previous postdoc where she explained the work done to date and how this project would fit into that.
