I applied for this company through indeed.com and received a response within two days. I received a phone call and the admin lady said that the job is to manage 40-45 "people" on daily basis. I agreed and asked to set up interview the next morning. I received a confirmation email about the date and time of the interview and asked to wear business professional. The email had signature of M&K consulting and reviewed their website and their social networking pages before heading to the interview.
Next day, I reached the office which was very small and saw other candidates waiting in the lobby. As I mentioned my name to the admin, she asked me to fill questionnaire and to wait for my name to be called. Assistant manger called my name and took me to the office and asked some personality questions. Interview was pretty vague and did not mention what my job would be. Within five minutes of interviewing, he offered me to come back for 2nd round interview. Asked me to wear comfortable shoes and business casual attire because I would be shadowing the work.
On 2nd interview, I was asked to sit in the same lobby and wait upon to call my name. I was sitting with 5 other candidates, most of them whom I saw on my 1st interview. While waiting, I heard crowd cheer as if it was football match. After a while most of the employees left the office from back door. I still had NO IDEA of what was going on. Then, I was invited inside their office where they introduced me to a employee whom I would be shadowing and later I would have my 2nd interview. We hopped in the car and went to a gas-station where all other employees gathered to change their " Business Formal Cloths" to At&t sales rep cloths. I was later taken to shady part of Indiana and I was then said that it was a door-to-door sales job and my job is to shadow and understand what was going on. From 2:30pm to 8 pm, temperature of 92'F we walked knocking on door to door and asking people to bundle up with AT&T product. In-between 30 minutes break, I was taken for lunch and so called "2nd round" interview. I was asked some useless questions (question that were asked on 1st interview) and explained the culture of the company. I was said that the company I would have to work for was SE Marketing not M&K consulting but they shared same office, culture and business. So basically it was 2 business under 1 roof.
I had loathe the entire day and came back to the office for round 3 interview. I was asked to fill a questionnaire again and wait for the hiring manager to call me inside. Meanwhile other candidates joined me. I was asked some personality question again. I asked them the wage system and figured out it was totally commission based, no base pay, no vehicle allowances and work from 11am to 8:45pm, 6 days a week.
It was such a waste of my time and had really bad experience.
