I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Mastercard (Sydney) in Sept 2025
Interview
I went through five rounds of interviews, each approximately an hour long. Communication with HR was frequent throughout the early stages of the process. My initial interview took place in early September 2025, with the final interview at the end of September. During the last interview, I was told I would hear back about next steps 'soon'. I assumed things were going well given the pace and the communication.
After following up twice over the next two weeks on progress, I finally received a response from HR in mid-October stating that the team was continuing to interview other candidates and that I would hear back by the end of October. I asked whether any feedback was available but did not receive a response.
At the end of November, I received an automated rejection email indicating I was unsuccessful. Overall, the interview process was lengthy, and the final communication lacked clarity and closure. Just a poor experience overall.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. We are always willing to learn how we can improve our hiring process. If you would like to share more information with us about your experience, please send an email to [talent@mastercard.com].
Other Regulatory Compliance Manager interview reviews for Mastercard
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard (Purchase, NY) in Feb 2023
Interview
The largest disappointment was they chose to ghost me instead of giving me the dignity of a proper rejection after my last interview (after interviewing with 3 separate people). I understand that you might not think someone is a good fit for your role, but I am disappointed that Mastercard is not respectful of the time and energy people put into interviewing with them. I had three calls with Mastercard. I made it through the recruiter hiring manager, and one other team member call. Their interview process was very standard and exactly what I expected for this type of role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my job history, knowledge of relevant subject matter, and my working style. All very typical questions and no real curveballs.
