I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard (Pune) in Jul 2025
Interview
I had applied online. Recruiter contacted me. Had ample time to prepare for Interview.
Interviews were very well organised.
4 rounds.
1. Technical Round
If this round is cleared, then next 3 are scheduled.
2. Technical Round by Hiring Manager
3. Bar Raiser - 1 (By Director- Program Management)
4. Bar Raiser - 2 (By Director- Program Management)
Bar Raiser rounds were conducted by those who were did not belong to Hiring Manager's org/dept.
My 3 rounds went well, 1 was slightly off the rail. But I enjoyed the process.
I got Rejection after 4th Round.
But to my surprise, next day I got call from Recruiter to disregard the rejection and mentioning I was still in the race. Also,.mentioned they would come back to me with final verdict in couple of days.
It's been 2 weeks almost, and recruiters have ghosted me now. Would have been nice if I had got a closure.
And as my status is still 'Interviewing' in the system, other recruiters from Mastercard are not going ahead with new interviews as they need final verdict on my previous Interview process. Thus hampering my chances at new positions.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard (Saint Louis, MO) in Aug 2025
Interview
The initial interview was a technical interview with someone on the team. This was followed by an interview with the hiring manager. After, I was then scheduled to interview with two bar raisers. This was quite a unique experience, they really press you on your resume and your career experiences.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Technical interview that described the four party model/payment system. There were many questions that pertained to how one would troubleshoot certain scenarios. They test your ability to think on the spot and your thought process on why you decided on a course of action.
Terrible. The interviewers were late to their own call. There were 3 of them and each were unprofessional and didn’t care to ask any relative questions. They also blamed me for being too early.
