Not traditional, I knew I had the job before I left the interview. I was tested on my skill set, my ability to answer what seemed to be common knowledge questions, and I had to share work experiences.
I applied online. I interviewed at Mastery Schools (Philadelphia, PA)
Interview
With the recruiter being 4 minutes late without an apology or explanation that told me everything that I needed to know about company culture. I was weary to interview based off of the prior reviews I had read but didn’t their bad company culture would be so evident so soon (but it all makes sense now). It’s 2025 and they are still basing salary off of highest degree level and they did this before I even answered a question. You miss out on the best applicants when you don’t take a holistic approach and CONSIDER all of their experiences. The tone of the recruiter was not it. I’m glad we were on the same page not advancing me to the next level. As most places do I bet they already had a candidate in mind. They rushed through every question especially when I asked my questions at the end.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you received difficult feedback from a supervisor and how you handled it.
The interview process was very quick to set up. After going back and fourth through email, I did an in person interview with multiple people worked at the school! The main question was why I would want to work in an under privileged school.
