      Manager In Training Interview

      20 May 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boca Raton, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mathnasium (Boca Raton, FL) in Apr 2024

      Interview

I spoke over the phone with the District Manager and we had a great conversation. She asked me to come into a local center and I did. She told me she would get back to me regarding their decision the following Monday. Monday comes and I get no email or phone call so I leave a voicemail and email on Tuesday. Crickets. By the following Wednesday, she reaches out to tell me the following, “I am so sorry for the delay. We had some adjustments in the market sizes and some staff adjustments. You are still a candidate we are interested in. We are meeting on Tuesday to reconfigure the markets. We will be reaching out after meeting Tuesday and should be by Wednesday afternoon 5/8 at the latest. Thank you for your patience. Have an amazing day.” 5/8 comes and I don’t hear from her. I follow up via voicemail and email. Once again, crickets so I give up. Today, 5/29, I get an automated rejection email from her. Don’t tell candidates you’ll get back to them by a certain date and that they’re being considered just to ghost them and waste their time. This has been the most frustrating interview process I’ve ever had with a company, EVER. Please revise your communications and interview process so no future candidates have to deal with being stringed along and ignored like I was. This experience turned me off from ever wanting to work at Mathnasium or be a customer.

      Application

I interviewed at Mathnasium (Houston, TX)

      Interview

Screening process was straightforward and simple. Interview ended after I responded that I had no manager experience. Led me to believe they are definitely looking more for managerial experience for the role rather than teaching.
