I applied online. I interviewed at Melaleuca (Provo, UT) in Sept 2020
Interview
I had already applied for this position and been rejected only to be forwarded an email from my career advisor from Melaleuca saying the position is still open and they're still looking for someone. So I applied again in March of 2020 and never heard anything back from them. In September of 2020 I was looking for another internship the following summer (2021) and received an email from the Melaleuca recruiter out of nowhere asking if I had time the next day for a zoom conference interview. It was short-notice but I did have time. Once getting into the interview at least 1/3 of my interview was me sitting in silence as the recruiter reading my resume to ask me about it, he had so obviously just now looked at it. After being unimpressed by his answers to my questions, he said they'd reach out again, to which they never did, but I heard they contacted one of my other friends who also applied and he went through the exact same process. Melaleuca has a habit of rejecting/ghosting their candidates only to keep it open and continue to interview other candidates. They don't seem to be in a hurry to fill these positions.
Interested in getting to know you as an employer and motivations. They look for candidates who are both interested in the company as well as motivated. There are 2 interviews, one that gets to know you. The second is about the role you are applying for. They also send out a test.
I applied through university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Melaleuca (Idaho Falls, ID) in Feb 2018
Interview
It was a great experience. Everyone was very welcoming and I really liked the feel of the work environment there. It doesn't feel like an office type of environment but it almost has a home-like feeling. I was interviewed by three different people for the position. I liked the experience overall; what I didn't like is that they took about 5 weeks to get back to me (after the final round of interviews), which was a lot longer than I was expecting.
