Interviews at Mercer & Hole
Anonymous Interview Candidate in Saint Albans, England, England
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Mercer & Hole (Saint Albans, England, England) in Mar 2017
Application form then telephone interview then full day assessment centre. The day consists of a short psychometric test, a panel interview by three people (an HR manager, tax manager and tax partner) lasting an hour covering motivational, competency, scenario-based and personality based questions, and commercial awareness. Numerical, verbal and checking tests. A group exercise discussing who to save from a sinking ship. Two minute pre-prepared interview and a 7 minute presentation done on the day with power point. Despite it being in St. Alban's they refused to pay travel expenses and gave some of the vaguest feedback I've ever received.
Anonymous Employee in Saint Albans, England, England
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Mercer & Hole (Saint Albans, England, England) in Mar 2015
Online application form followed by telephone interview. Finally a full-day assessment, consisting of psychometric, numerical and verbal reasoning tests, one hour interview with a partner, manager and HR officer, a group discussion with other applicants, a pre-prepared presentation and a second prepared on the day. A full-on but rewarding day allowing personality and skills to show throughout the day rather than relying on performance in a one-off intense interview. Well paced and focussed not just on suitability for the job but whether you will fit in as a person.
