I submitted my resume during the engineering career fair at my college/university. Application

I applied online. I interviewed at National Institute of Standards and Technology in November 2017.

    Interview

Applied through school career site. Recieved contact for video interview about a month later. Conducted interview with future colleague and lab group supervisor. Conversation was very informal and covered mostly by previous experieneces and why I was interested in the group. Their website was not detailed so I found it useful to ask more questions about their current work and find ways that I could see myself fitting into their work and expressing direct interest in that.

There were no odd questions and it seems like they just wanted to understand who I was and what my interests were to make sure that they could be a good fit for what I wanted to do.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at National Institute of Standards and Technology (Gaithersburg, MD (US)) in February 2017.

    Interview

Standard phone interview where I spent roughly 20 minutes answering questions about my resume, and 20 minutes hearing about the company. If you are an engineering student applying to a co-op, they will ask many questions as to your availability and how many terms you are willing to work.
