Anonymous Interview Candidate in London, England
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Odgers Berndtson (London, England) in Jan 2019
Well organized process. First stage was for the phone interview , However later I got a call from the recruiter saying that the employer wants to go for face to face meeting rather than a phone interview. I was interviewed by 2 interviewers (2 lovely ladies). They were very polite , professional and direct. It was a great experience to learn more about the company and their experience. The interview went very well but I think I was not selected for my own personal reasons. (they were looking for immediate joining which dint match well with my availability )
- It was more of a conversation than a formal interview. 1. Walk me thru your resume 2.Where do you see yourself in 10 years

A culture of elitism. Awful. Stay well away from this organisation if you're an ethnic minority or person of colour. It's clear you will only be invited to interview as a form of tokenism and statistical purposes. An inept interviewer, that is clearly uninterested in hiring you into the company, invited to interview purely for market research purposes to try and get information out of you - so it's important you play the game and play it well. Look for an organisation with an attractive and inviting organisational culture, not a toxic one. That said, the interviewer demonstrated a clear disbelief that an individual of an ethnic minority (in the UK) could be so successful with so many accomplishments. Also, you'll wait for the best part of 3 weeks to receive feedback. STAY AWAY from this company it is has a toxic culture. If you make the mistake of taking my words with a pinch of salt, I'd advise you to read the other reviews here.
- Tell me about the clients you have worked with? How have you managed to be so successful? Where do you find the time?

Two skype interviews, one with the recruiter and the other with head of research. General questions focused around research techniques and recruiting. It'll be helpful if you can demonstrate evidence of coordinating people/projects/logistics reliably.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Odgers Berndtson (London, England) in May 2018
Process took 4 weeks. It was a positive experience however not a positive outcome. There were 5 PA roles available which set off alarm bells. Was called back for interview after interview however wanted someone with exec search background so tended to waste a lot of time where you could be interviewing elsewhere.
- Many competency based questions! Make sure you prepare!!!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Odgers Berndtson (Washington, DC) in Jan 2018
Very easy process, I interviewed with four people in the company total. First I had a phone screen with Office Manager, then interviews with two executives I would support, as well as Operations Manager.

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Odgers Berndtson (London, England) in May 2017
A very thorough interview process. I was given an uncensored and extensive picture of life at Odgers from a variety of partners and employees; transparent but also encouraging. A refreshingly two-way process. The welcome given by the reception staff was altogether outstanding and something I had never experienced before, I was remembered, called by name, greeted warmly and made to feel relaxed on each visit and between each meeting (as there were a number of meetings!).
- How do you propose engaging and getting buy-in from so many different personalities across the group?

Structured, informative, constructively critical of my CV which was too detailed. Lot’s of engagement from people at all levels while I was in the process. I met many partners, it was not quick.
