I really liked Orbital’s old hiring process. They started with a take-home coding challenge where I had to build a mini backend API for a bank with basic CRUD operations. A technical interview was then scheduled just 2–3 days later.
The interview was with the CTO, who began with a few basic questions about my background before asking me to walk through my implementation. He also had a few follow-up questions related to the challenge. Throughout the interview, he maintained a calm demeanor, making sure not to come across as intimidating. I really appreciated how he acknowledged my work, complimenting my clean implementation.
Overall, it was one of the best interview experiences I’ve had. The CTO was not only technically sharp but also very humble.
