I applied online. I interviewed at Our World Neighborhood Charter School (Long Island City, NY)
Interview
The interview process was quite straightforward. There were a couple of individuals present in the room, which helped create a balanced atmosphere. The duration of the interview was relatively short, making it a comfortable experience overall. It was not stressful, nor did it feel awkward in any way.

Interview
I interviewed mid-year for a Special Education teacher position. It was a panel interview with the teacher I would co-teach with, the Special Education coordinator, another teacher, and the principal. It started off ok. I liked the SPED coordinator a lot. However, whenever I would answer the two teachers (one I would be working with) kept exchanging glances making it a really uncomfortable situation for me. I felt like I was in middle school. Needless to say, when I was called back to schedule the demo, I declined. The vibed at this school at least amongst the staff did not seem welcoming. I have no doubt this negative attitude towards others also extends to how the teachers treat the students.
