I applied online. I interviewed at Paycom in Sept 2021

      Interview

The most unprofessional experience. I won’t specify the state, but my fiancée got a new job located in a different state from where we are currently located. I began to apply for jobs in this new state and found an instant connection with Paycom. I applied for the AE role, heard back the next day, set up an initial phone call and it went great. The phone call lead to my first Zoom interview which went decent. With me moving to a different state, I really loved how fast moving and efficient Paycom was with their interview process. A few days go by and I finally hear back. It was along the lines of “Hey! Wanted to touch base. We decided to push back our training class to early 2022, instead of when we initially talked about. We would love to get you back into the process when that happens.” A little odd. But that wasn’t my issue. I understand things happen. I figured with how professional Paycom had been up until this point it wasn’t anything to worry about. They also clarified that once they open the role back up I wouldn’t need to re- apply. I would just have a touch up and then I would move onto the second interview. A couple of months go by and as we are approaching the beginning of early 2022, I send a follow up message as I haven’t heard anything about the role. I get no response. A few weeks after that, they repost the AE role for that location. I message again asking if since the role got posted again, if we were going to go with our original plan of a touch up and the next round of interviews. This time I get a response and the recruiter just tells me they aren’t involved with that role anymore and to just re-apply and someone will reach out to me if I meet the qualifications. I can only imagine how busy recruiters are, but I would never do that to someone. If you know someone is moving to a different state , which comes with a lot of unknown. You tell someone a date of the training class and ask if that fits the timeline of their move, during the phone conversation. They say they will make it work. Then you message them a few days later to let them know the date you told them isn’t happening and you are pushing it back but you will touch base with them to get them back in the hiring process. You then never touch base with the candidate, who eventually reaches out to you, and then you don’t respond to it. Then go back again on everything you said and just tell the candidate to re apply. - Just let the candidate know you decided not to move forward with them directly - If you aren’t involved with recruiting that role anymore, but you told some people you would reach out to them, let the person taking over that role know. So they can reach out to the candidates you made promises to.

      Interview

Very straightforward. They did a phonescreen call. And asked basic questions and then set you up with another interviewer. The questions were not that hard. They were very in line with the job description

      Interview

Multiple steps, very repetitive in nature, and requires you to come in and showcase you ability to call a list. You must be fully suited up, and if you’re going through the process while also working a job, expect for them to require you to interview multiple times in one week
