The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PetSmart in Aug 2009
Interview
Applied online (with resume, coverletter, and personality test) and was contacted about a month later for an in-person interview. I was 16 (company now only hires 18+) and had very little previous work experience. It was a very low-pressure interview, I expect I pretty much had the job as long as I showed up on time wearing something halfway decent. Only a few easy questions were asked, 1:1 with a manager, then the manangers of a few other departments also met me and I was hired on the spot, as a cashier rather than the pet care specialist I was interviewing for (they told me they normally hire people with more animal experience for this position, but I'm pretty sure hiring a cashier was their intention from the get-go. Later I was cross-trained as a pet care specialist). I was then required to have a drug test immeditately following the interview.

Question 1
How would you deal with a very difficult customer?
This interview was simple and easy. The manager had a laid back atmosphere. Straightforward interview with usual questions. Took about thirty minutes to finish and it was only one interview.
Managers are very nice but pay isn’t great. Interview was very easy. Great place to work, but hard to live off of the income they offer. Have to have a love and passion for animals
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PetSmart (La Jolla, CA)
Interview
Interview with store manager, asked standard interview questions, including scenario questions. Interview took about fifteen minutes or so. I was offered the position on the spot. Overall it was the typical standard interview.
