The interview was fairly standard, consisted of initial talks with an internal recruiter, followed by a chat with the CTO/CPO, a take-home technical exercise, and a potential discussion on the solution, with other engineers.
The initial talk/call was decent, the recruiter was enthusiastic and polite, whilst scoping out my background, to the point where they were sending reminders via text.
The next stage with the CTO was quite odd as he seemed fairly uninterested with having the chat in the first place, up until we started talking about the product and how revolutionary it could be.
The take home test was fairly easy, and it shouldn't take more than 4-5 hours to complete (with deployment)
Now, for a startup that preaches about moving fast, the team took well more than a couple days to come back to me, and that was only when pressed.
Supposedly, after "careful consideration" they decided to not proceed. Quite odd, given that the logs did no record any visits to the deployed task.
Unfortunate as the project seems quite interesting.
