I went in for an initial interview with the recruiter, that interview went well enough that I got pushed ahead to a manager in the department where I would be working. This was a longer and more in depth interview, I asked a lot of questions about company culture, goals, and expectations. I thought that interview went great, there was a good connection, a lot of back and forth, she genuinely seemed interested me as a potential employee. I then went ahead to a third interview with the department head. This interview also went well, I asked him about his long history of the company and how he had moved up, what did he loves about his role and where did he see the future of the company in the next few years. I was at the business that day from 9:30AM till 1:15PM. I did a 15 mins in depth psychological/personality assessment, gave permission for them to run a background test, and I took a drug test The only contact info I had was a lady who scheduled interviews- so I emailed her and asked if she could pass along a message, essentially saying thank you for your time and consideration, it was a pleasure speaking with everyone. A week went by, nothing. I tried calling the recruitment team and left voicemails with two different people. Nothing. Another week went by and I emailed the woman who scheduled interviews, a few hours later I got the standard "We are moving onto other candidates at this time" email. I emailed back and said I would really appreciate talking to someone so I could get some feedback on my interview (that I thought had gone so well) and never got anything back. No email, no phone call after all the time and effort I invested. I think its appropriate and reasonable to let people know in a polite and timely manner if they are interested in hiring you. I was disappointed and frustrated that no one at the whole company I spent over 4 hours at could give me a personal phone call or email.
