Question 1
What strengths will help you given your lack of industry experience?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rincon Technology in Aug 2012
Interview
Concise and intentional. No waffling for months or through 5+ interviews with multiple people who all say something different. These guys gave me a schedule of 2 interviews and stuck to it. They delivered on what they said which is unbelievably rare these days, and they didn't B.S. me about the process or keep making changes. A lot of companies could learn something about execution from Rincon. The offer letter came when they said it would, and was actually better than they had lead me to believe. Under promise and over deliver. Nobody does that anymore! I couldn't wait to start!

Question 1
The only unexpected question wasn't so much difficult to answer as it was determining if they were really sincere about it. My manager said in the 1st interview: "Tell me about you without mentioning any work or business related scenarios." That type of question has always been an intentional trap question in the past, but here, they actually want to know that you have a life and passion for something outside of work. Yes, seriously!
