Much like the other interview review, the process was frustrating and strange. The coding interview comprised of a single algorithm which was on the more intense end of the scale (see below). They allowed me to choose what language I wanted to do it in (I chose python), then rejected me later for not choosing Java.... They are looking for strong java skills and are heavily focused on that. This is coming from someone with 2 years of Scala experience. The frustration mentioned above, is that zero java or scala related questions were asked during the interview process, except "do you know java?", to which I informed them I have done Scala for a number of years.
The interview process seems a little behind to be honest. The live coding of random CS challenges and wanting a very specific language and result, screams of a immature recruiting process.
