      Engineer Interview

      10 Oct 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Cincinnati, OH
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Sirrus (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2013

      Interview

I was told to dress business casual, however, I wore a suit and was made fun of for it by management. Little to no technical questions were asked during the almost 8 hour interview. Interviewers tend to speak more about themselves than caring to learn about others. I spoke with 7-8 people and went out to lunch. It seemed like no one had read through my resume prior to arrival. Everyone was nice and non-confrontational. I was also sent out with a real estate agent to start looking for a home prior to leaving the interview.

If you had a million dollars how would you spend it?

We hired no engineer in that time frame with a relocation who wore a suit. It's ridiculous that glassdoor does no verification of any kind and yet tries to sell us services. That's ridiculous. If its real, when you are instructed to dress a certain way and cannot even do that, you should be asking yourself other questions.
