I arrived at 6:30 am to stand in line with about 300 other people. Once to front of line, they asked for all your documents. Make sure you have them all and copies. They then give you a name tag with a number on it and your name and it has a color on the bottom. Then you go into a big room where you listen to all the information about being a flight attendant for Spirit Airlines. You have about 25 employees walking around watching you. Looking for people on phones and falling asleep and such. Then after that, you break into your colored groups. Round one consists of following directions correction and interaction between everyone. You are told to follow direction exactly. When you table is called up, you are to go up: State your first and last name and the number they provided. Then pull a question out of fish bowl. Read question to yourself and then out loud. Answer the question and then restate your name and number. Then sit down. After the whole room has gone, they go out and deliberate. They come back in and tell you if they call your number, please get your stuff and meet in the hall. They eliminated about half the room. They ones in the room stayed for round 2. In round 2, you are put in new groups. You are asked to write the top five characteristics of a flight attendant individually. In your group, you are to come up with the top five. Then design a airline on a poster using those characteristics. Come up with a way to present to the whole room. You go up and state your name and number before you do you part of the presentation. They are watching your participation. Once the whole room finishes, they go back out to deliberate again. They then came back in and told us if they call our number to stand up, get our things and meet in hallway. They took about half out in the hall way. They told us that we had made it to round 3. To go to lunch and be back at a certain time in the main room. We are then in there with about half of what we started out with for the day. So roughly 150. They then have you fill out 10 years of work history and your gaps in employment and sign a waiver for lifting 50 pounds in a carryon above your head. When your name is called, you go into a room for a 2 on 1 interview with Spirit Employees. Once you have finished your 2 on 1, you are sent to the decision room where they have sent over whether you made it or not. If they put you on a computer in the decision room, then you made it. If not, you weren't hired at that time. After the computer, they take you in the hall and to another room where you fill out paperwork, background check, finger prints, photo and drug test.
