3 interviews one with hiring manager, one with a very arrogant condescending data person, and one with a director.
They ghosted me and didn’t have the decency to provide any feedback, after three long interviews that was a waste of Time.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Splunk (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
First round was over the phone. It involved typical behavioral questions at first. The second half was technical questions about java. Including writing a program over the phone. Second round was a coding assignment
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Splunk (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
Interview process was pretty quick for about 2-3 weeks. I approached them on LinkedIn, as I am the product user and love it hoping to be a part. Recruiter reached out to me for a phone interview with the manager. After 3 days they said we are moving with some other candidate. 10 days later, the recruiter called in again saying it did not work out with the first candidate and asked me if I was interested. Then followed five 45 mins interviews with the team members, product owners and manager combined. I stumbled in one exercise round were the guy asked me to write the query of which the first one I could not get it and the second one wasn't giving any result even after the interviewee trying it by himself. Turned out there should have been a single quote instead of double. 3 out of the other 4 were great and the 4th one was not bad too to which I almost answered 80% of the questions which I had worked on. Was expecting an offer as the last interview ended on a high but unfortunately got a reply saying it was not a fit. I understand the decision of wanting the best fit for the job but would have appreciated a feedback to which I can work on and may be apply later on as I aspire to work there some time in the near future. I would not complain though, all the interviewees were pretty calm and made me feel comfortable during the whole process while sharing their careers path and the culture.
