Was contacted by a recruiter, came in 2 weeks later. Was interviewed for 15 minutes by 2 MDs and 1 VP. People were very dry and barely asked anything of substance...explain your background but nothing about my previous projects, skills, personality or the hedge fund industry/markets/strategies. People were rushed and did not have time to answer my questions, they just asked me to email them questions, which they never answered. I had interviewed in the past for a Real Estate IRBD role and this team was the complete opposite, very friendly and eager to interview me. Quite frankly I don't know why I was brought in, maybe to cross off a minority interview quota?
