I applied online. I interviewed at The Exam Centre (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2016
Interview
It was very comprehensive lasting about 1 hour with the Academic Director who is also one of the owners. The interview was a breath of fresh air, the interviewer was very pleasant and obviously knowledgeable but she really put me at ease straight away. She also spent a lot of time telling me about the Academy, the students, the culture and ethos so I was given a really good feel of what it was like to work for The English Academy in advance. She laid out very clearly what she expected from her teachers. She looked for my qualifications and certificates and took great interest in what I did at University as well as my previous job experience. I was asked quite a lot of technical questions particularly in regard to the type of classes I have taught previously, the techniques I used and the resources I used. I was invited afterwards to do a paid trial class, which was scary but so beneficial as I got to meet the students and the other teachers (all of whom were so welcoming!)
