Interview
I was contacted by an HR recruiter in early October and encouraged to apply for this position. What followed was the most bizarre and unprofessional interview process I've ever been a part of. Within the first 3 weeks, things moved rapidly and positively, with 3 interviews and an in-person with the local engineer. I was excited to move forward, genuinely thought highly of the team that I interacted with, and the feedback I received was 100% positive. Then things took a turn for the worst. November came and went with no progress. December, the same. Despite this, the only updates I would receive would be after I continually reached out to ask status. Finally, I was told a decision would be forthcoming first week of January. That time came and went with zero communication...however, I was contacted the following week who did a warm handoff to another rep in the area to facilitate a meetup. Odd at this point, but ok. Met with that rep and was told, again, a decision would come soon. Once again, it didn't. Finally, after no communication for another several weeks and more prodding, I was told VP would be contacting me to discuss some "changes". This finally happened, and the changes were that they decided to not fill the RAM req, but offer a Jr position role, and would I still be interested? I indicated I would, to which the VP agreed to setup a call the following Monday to discuss further. Continuing the trend that had already been established, of course this did not happen. When I reached out again to HR to ask what was going on, was given a terse "I have no updates to share". Solid stuff. The fitting end to this process was a week and a half later receiving a stock auto reject email stating that there "unfortunately was not a position available to me" but they would keep my resume on file. Unreal. After 4 months, countless interviews, calls, and in person lunches/coffees and being told explicitly that I was considered the top candidate by 2 of the 3 people in this process, I wasn't even given the basic common courtesy or professionalism of a phone call or personal email describing what happened and/or why. I met some terrific individuals in this process and it would’ve been great to work alongside them. However, the lack of communication, transparency and basic professionalism and etiquette in this process was surprising and disappointing from a company like Trend Micro.

Interview
Contacted by someone in HR about setting up an interview, agreed upon a time, then received an (automated, no reply) email thanking me for my time (interview was not yet held). Asked the recruiter what this meant, responded it was an error on their part. Then the actual interview took place--and received ANOTHER fully automated rejection email 2 days later--with no explanation. This, from a company that touts its "dedication to its staff and applicants."

Interview
I had an unpleasant experience interviewing at Trend Micro for the senior software developer role. The initial round was a call with HR. Following that, there was a Codility exam. If you passed, you proceeded to the third round, which involved interviews with two managers and the developer team. Oddly, the managers were present but didn't engage or ask about goals or previous work. The developer team grilled me with technical questions for 1 hour and 15 minutes continuously. The questions were complex, and I wasn't informed beforehand that I would need to share my screen and use a code editor for live coding. They also expected immediate system diagram drawings. Overall, the lack of interaction made it feel like I was speaking to robots rather than humans. The managers were present but silent, which made the experience uncomfortable and strange, as they observed without asking a single question, even keeping their cameras off.

Interview
Rejected 3 times for the same job. That sounds weird, right? But that's what happened for real. I received a rejection after applying. A generic "thank you but..." email. I forgot all about the application until a few weeks later I got an interview request. I was confused. Upon confirming with the recruiter I was told they are considering me for an interview. It was not the best course of events, but great. I would love to have an interview. After a series of interviews, I received a rejection. Understandable. A few days later, I received YET ANOTHER rejection for this particular role. Same email was the 1st rejection (aka, generic email). In the end, I ended up receiving 3 rejections for the same role. I wonder if I will receive a 4th one. The system issues the company has ought to be fixed.

Interview
So I applied for a position at around June 2023. After 2 weeks they got back and requested me to take a technical exam and I duly accepted. I spent a significant time and energy for a week in preparation and took the exam, and after that had also one initial interview. But then yesterday, they rejected me while refusing to give a single reason or feedback.
