Interview
I had a 15 minute interview with an employee rep in Beijing. I did a live 10 minute demo lesson so they could evaluate my teaching style. The interviewer pretended to be a student so I could demonstrate how I would respond to challenging online classroom situations. The interviewer also asked how much money I wanted to make and then gave me my base pay per class.
Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
Very lenghthy interview process, but the interviewers were nice and helpful. There were several steps to the process and it was pretty involved. I had to prepare a lesson beforehand
It was easy an straightforward. 1 interview and 2 mock classes to pass. They offer a contract for a year with option to renew after 1st contract is over. Overall the process last for about 2 weeks from the time you apply unless you are waitlisted.
