I sent in a teaching demo and received a email that stated that I "rocked my interview." I was given a monetary amount that I was to receive for teaching and became very excited. I was then sent on to interview one which was teaching two classes,after the interview I received another email that made me feel like I had done a great job. I spent money purchasing a headset, mouse, and props ($50-$100). The 2nd interviewer gave me tons of feedback (wish I had her for the first interview), but it was too late. If I had known that they hire only 6% of candidates I would not have bothered.
