I was handled through a Staffing Agency. The process was had the following: 1 phone interview, 1 in-person interview, and 1 skype interview. Everything was going great until the offer was given. Naturally, I countered the offer. Varel then rescinded the offer due to the counter of $6,000. This was interesting because I have never seen a company rescinded an offer due to a counter offer. According to the recruiter, countering the offer left a "Bad Taste" in their mouth.
