I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vrbo (Austin, TX) in Dec 2017
Interview
I had about 3 rounds of interviews.
First was the normal online personality stuff.
Then a digital interview (20 minutes recording yourself, kinda awkward)
Final one in person. Final interview was more like a cattle call. About 40-50 people. They have about 6-8 interviewers there for the candidates. You get called up in the same order you signed in. I was slightly early but still at the end. This resulted in me waiting for 2 hours to interview for about 10 minutes. They had pizza and some employees to talk to about the role but I was more frustrated that they didn't just schedule half for one hour and the second half for the second hour.
Nothing too crazy with the in person questions. Regular stuff like tell me about your past jobs, how you deal with conflict, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Literally took 10 minutes.
Got an email the next day saying I got the job.
The company is great to work for - culture and benefits, very transparent and will help you with anything you need. Lots of ability to grow your career.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Vrbo (Austin, TX) in Aug 2021
Interview
You have a HireVue self interview first. Then, you’ll be contacted and have a group meeting with two hiring managers who will go over a lot of Situation/Action/Result questions. Usually you hear back within the week. If you’ve been referred you’ll hear back faster.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time where you had a difficult customer. What was the situation? How did you solve it? And what was the outcome?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vrbo in Sept 2020
Interview
After the interviews I had now I understand why they have bad rating. The interview with the HR was great, however after that I had an interview with the manager and then they sent a math (equations mostly) and a cognitive test and last was a presentation that bear in mind that you have to imagine the scenario yourself as they don't give you a roleplay.
During the presentation they asked ridiculous questions which you can only have answers if you are working for the company and mind that you need to create a performance scenario for your accounts making up numbers and consider previous performance for accounts that you still don't manage.
After the presentations of around 1 hour, I was still asked " the standard behavior questions"
The interview was unnecessarily hard for such a company and low salary.
PS: The math test I still don't get it, what was that for?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Vrbo (London, England) in Apr 2019
Interview
