I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Pocatello, ID) in Oct 2009
Interview
Speaking plainly, Wal Mart is usually so desperate for help that they will hire almost anyone. Mostly the interview process is just to see if you are more or less civilized and willing to work. To their credit, Wal Mart does seem to get rid of dead beats and uncivilized people very quickly, if they hire them by mistake to begin with. Mostly, seriously over worked lower level management and a member of management do the interviewing and make the hiring decisions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly, I was just asked what my work experiences had been, and whether I could work under time constraints and whether I could deal with frequent interuptions.. ie.. to jump from one task to another, with customers interupting these multi tasking episodes. I said yes, not really realizing what I was getting myself into.
The interview process was straightforward and simple. I have yet to experience on boarding, but will update when completed.
Anxious to see what the starting rate is.
I am supposed to receive an email tomorrow about next steps.
Was quick and easy! Showed up for hiring event and got hired on the spot! And started working like a week later. Been a good company so far. Spoke with Kiera. She is very nice and understanding.
Very simple, in person one-on-one with a manager. Told me about Walmart and the role and asked if I was interested. Little to no questions and was over quite fast.
