After a process consisting of four interviews (one with HR, another with a hiring manager, another with the on-site engineering team, and another with a team lead), multiple calls from HR, and a lengthy take-home task assignment, I expected at least a formal rejection email. Instead, I was told I'd hear about a decision in the next few days after my last interview. This happened five weeks ago, and since then, complete silence. This behavior is, at the very least, strange, but considering the way it disrespects the candidate's time and effort, it's incredibly unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone to go through the task assignment or any on-site interview.
