I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wealthsimple (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2019
Interview
Pretty standard interview process.
1. 30 min non technical call with the director of engineering
2. 1 hour paired coding interview with an Engineer
3. 75 min coding assignment over the weekend
4. 20 min phone call to review coding assignment
straightforward technical interview with object oriented programming. was about an hour long, first 5-10 minutes was tell me about yourself/explaining the interview and job process. interviewer was nice - doesn't help during the interview but will review how you did at the end
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wealthsimple (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2023
Interview
The interview was a simple coding interview. I requested to complete it in java, but the question was clearly intended for JavaScript given the format of the input. The IDE was not set up correctly, as I couldn't even create new files and classes. I found the interview poor.

Question 1
Creating an object and methods to control a robot.
Behavioral, then technical interview, take home assessment, then final behavioral interview. All were fairly straightforward and what I expected - standard interview questions. Interviewers were all very friendly and encouraging. Great experience!
