I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2025
Interview
I was referred by an employee and connected with a recruiter who scheduled an interview the following day. After the interview, I was asked to prepare a presentation for an in-person interview the following week. I spent the weekend working on it, but when I hadn’t received confirmation of a time by the end of Monday, I followed up. They responded the next day saying that they already filled the role and hoped I hadn't spent too much time on the presentation. The lack of communication and consideration for candidate time was disappointing, especially considering I was referred by a current employee.

Interview
I went through 5 rounds of interviews with this company (for an entry level job), provided 5 references via a survey and was told they were finalizing an offer and then was ghosted by them. I’ve interviewed with many companies across the Bay Area and have never been ghosted by any of them. Hands down one of the worst interview experiences I’ve had.
