I applied for a UNV specialist position and waited four months for the online interview, which was conducted via Teams with a panel of four: one HR representative, two WHO officers, and an external UNICEF officer. The interview was 40 min. long. The questions were lengthy and unstructured, making it challenging to provide focused and precise responses. Frequently, the panel would cut me off and move to the next question, which was very disorienting. The panel often reread questions when seeking clarification. Although I had the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the interview, their responses felt scripted and unrelated. When I asked about the next steps, I was just told they would get in touch. I later emailed the HR focal point for a follow-up but never received a reply or an update.
