I do my best to defuse the situation by remaining calm and focused.

I try to use active listing skills and show sympathy and understanding when dealing with someone who is agitated and escalating. I try to guide the person in conflict by reminding them of their coping skills and asking them if there’s anything they can do to utilize these coping skills. Less
