Talk to them calmly and politely to understand the nature of the issue and if it cannot be resolved quickly and quietly then the customer should be escorted to a private area of the shop so as not to make a scene infront of other customers.
Yes we should talk with them very friendly and calmly because they can understand to us simply.
Pull over when safe to do so, call the customer and advise them you are running late, and if possible how long you are going to be. Also say any issues you will give them a call back and update them
It is great to contact the customer and say you are going to be late but i myself wouldnt give a time you are going to arrive because you wouldnt no due to the traffic situation and if you told them a time you may lose concentration because you are trying to make that time which is not right in my opinion better to be safe than sorry
