Started with how I have friends who'd worked for sainsburys previously who loved their jobs, so I knew they were a good employer, mentioned they're in the times top 50 for employing women which appealed to me, charity, their values (CCTV in abattoirs etc), that I wanted to work for a large company which would give me practical insight into the commercial world.
I said that the main reason why I wanted to work for sainsburys is because of their charity work. The fact that they raised 7 million pounds over 7 years really touched my heart as their work appeals to me personally, with having disabled family members.
Remain calm, polite and be as helpful as possible, Ensure that to listen thoroughly to the customers complaint and show that you are taking the complaint on board and you are doing as much as possible to resolve the issue. Always be understanding with the customer and try to relate as much as possible in the process.
I remember saying something along the line that as a new staff and as someone who does not have a gambling background, learning the gambling techniques and operating the gaming machine for the first time might be a bit challenging to me. However, i am a quick learner and I heard that the training you provide to new employees is one of the best so I think i will be an expert a week after I start working ;-)
