I was constructively critical - whilst many of the building blocks were in place, there was a lot to be improved which, presumably, was why they were recruiting this role... although perhaps they just wanted to harvest ideas to improve their digital marketing as, more than 3 months after interview, it seems no-one has been recruited to the role.

Was getting at managing morale and workflow. Briefly; try to identify the route of the problem though 1:1 session with underperforming team member, identify ways for them to get back to peak productivity and set future dates to review performance.

I hadn't worked in sales before as my experience was in charities - however I answered that and said I had spotted that gap in my knowledge so was undertaking a certificate in marketing which focused on the sales side and this satisfied the interviewee.

These where answered honestly and precisly

I explained how I would approach building a marketing strategy from audit and market research to content creation and workflow programmes.

The style was very conversational and I was impressed that they clearly wanted to share information as well as gain it.
