I applied for several positions at scandiweb.
For the Junior Project Manager role, I completed multiple tasks, an interview, and a final test, but I was rejected due to insufficient technical knowledge in the last test.
Still interested in scandiweb, I applied for the Junior HR/Recruiter role. I was given a test task with a 7-day deadline. After putting a lot of time and effort into the task, I submitted it within the 7 days. Later, I was informed that the position was already filled, meaning they chose a candidate before reviewing all tasks.
Because my profile was “truly noticeable,” they offered me an interview for a Business Development position. The hiring manager didn't show up for the Google Meet call. Two hours later, I got a response from the HR representative: “Please accept my apologies for the late response. We noticed a system issue and our hiring manager was unable to join the interview, and we weren't able to notify you.” This was another sign of their lack of professionalism.
The interview was rescheduled and finally happened. The hiring manager noted my lack of technical knowledge but still mentioned there were many tasks I could do for the company. We agreed he would review my previous tasks and we would have another call. Despite this, after 2 weeks of silence, I contacted them first and was told they had found a more suitable candidate.
All these situations took a total of 2 months.
In conclusion, scandiweb's treatment of candidates is chaotic and unprofessional. Rejection is part of the process, but their disrespect for candidates' time and effort is unacceptable. I hope sharing my experience raises awareness and helps others in the IT industry avoid similar situations.
I also have serious doubts about the existence of these positions and the company’s intentions of hiring someone. It is very likely that these were “ghost jobs.”
