Using the STAR format. Advised what the situation was, the task, the action I completed and the end result. Vital to tell all the details - the more relevant the better. Don't forget to push what your actions were - lots of I not "We"
I was given only 20 minutes after an initial email exchange covering the points above. I was reminded about the timeframe outstanding so I tried to make my answers brief in regards to what I do. After enquiring about what I do, how I deal with a recruitment and negotiating with a client, I tried to explain as briefly as I could what I do, which is not simple when you work for a government contracted company. She went oto explain the profile and person she is looking for and not only dismissed me but patronised me too. I corrected her in saying she didn't actually give me the opportunity to show my relevancy given the timeframe and questions asked. I pointed this out to her and terminated the call but thanked her for the time.
