I described the structure and approach to my search including route to market, finding candidate's, outlined my sales pitch to the candidates (company, locations, structure, salary and benefits, pros / cons, interview process and associated timescales), then covered off any reservations the candidates may have to ensure a complete buy.
This was pretty interactive and more of a whiteboard session. I was able to work with the interviewers diagram to explain what I felt the process would likely look like, how many candidates would need to apply and go through each interview stage to produce 10 successful candidates.
Role play is a meeting with a stakeholder to discuss hiring. You will be briefed with an agenda/parameters which you should try to push firmly but diplomatically. They will throw you a curveball which will most likely be someone has submitted their notice.
You will have 5 minutes to prepare. I sought to control the conversation, address all the points in the preparation notes, and agree action points to move towards a proposed resolution whilst educating the stakeholder.
