I worked at Clopay (More than a year)

Benefits and perks are fairly impressive.

Employees and Management that I worked with had no respect for each other. There was constant name calling (very profane language), people always throwing things at each other (nothing too dangerous) and a general lack of professionalism. It was like being in a junior high lunchroom for 10 hours. Besides that we worked 7 days a week, 10 hours a day quite often and there was no choice on your part whether you wanted to or not. I was hired in for a 40 hour a week job and was not told about the overtime until I was working. Yes, the paychecks were nice but any social life you may have had, not to mention time with family, went straight out the window.

    Advice to Management

Teach your employees RESPECT for themselves and others! I actually contacted an attorney after I left and he was chomping at the bit to sue Clopay to hell and back- my BOSS called me (and others) every derogatory and profane name you can think of (jokingly, but still, VERY inappropriate). But likely the Boss and many of the other employees would have lost their jobs over it, which I didn't want, so I just walked away. My advice is increase your efforts in training your staff and employees about are setting yourself up to lose a lot of money in lawsuits by neglecting this issue!
