Durnford Medical Centre is looking for a Recpetionist to join our friendly team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience as a GP Medical Receptionist and comfortable using Emis, although training to the perfect candidate will be given.
You need to have excellent people skills and manners, and willingness to problem-solve patient queries and staff requests.
General duties include but are not limited to:
· Ensure that an efficient, helpful and friendly reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice. Acknowledge patients and visitors on arrival, respond to queries both on the phone and face to face in a polite manner
· Ensure that all patient interactions are dealt with in a confidential manner
· Book appointments accurately and appropriately
· Keep reception areas clean and tidy.
· Deal efficiently with emergency situations if any
· Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager, including scanning and other paperwork.
