I have been working at BPS World full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was the first employee to be employed by BPS World. To be honest I was sceptical of the company as I have never heard of them before and furthermore, I was not looking for new opportunity as I have personal commitment that needed attention. I was first contacted by Nicholas Connell and he brief me the role they have for their new office in Singapore. My profile fits the bill and I was still sceptical about it, but I still proceed to have a VC interview with Nick and APAC Managing Director, Adrian Conington and eventually scheduled for a face to face 2nd interview and the rest is history…

BPS World believes in people can be more and they emphasize on putting their employee first above all. They proved this statement numerous times to me in my last 17 months with them. When my daughter passed away in operating theatre 3 months after joining BPS, our CEO, Simon Conington, flew 6800 miles to Singapore and my Accounts Manager, Lai Wong, rushed to be by my side. That gesture alone means the world to me. It simply showed that my family in BPS, no matter where they were, rallying together to give the support that I need. Emails and messages - constant words of support and encouragement, I continuously received from my colleagues whom I only met once during the Company Day. All this while I was just a Part Timer in BPS and never once, they made me feel less important in the organisation.

Nine months later, I made the decision to convert as Full Timer and commit myself to provide my knowledge and skills to BPS World to grow in this region even though I know it will not ve chicken feet journey but with the dedications and planning they have to achieve their goals in 2021, it intrigued me to join onboard. Challenges we face in this region seem to be manageable as we tackle the issues together as a team as it is a learning journey for all of us in Singapore. I can vouch that BPS World is the best company I have work in my entire 19 years of working experiences. I am the envy of friends, ex-colleagues and families for not only be employed in a company who looks after their employees, but who also emphasize on their employees’ growth to achieve career and personal goals in life.

    Cons

With team members in different time zones and on different schedules, sometimes will be tricky to schedule calls for updates and catch up.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for the opportunity to be part of BPS World.

Thank you for Work Hard, Play Harder!

    Allow me to quote: -
‘A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be – Rosalynn Carter’

I believe with great leadership in APAC, we can make it happen!
