    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in September 2011.

    Interview

Capital One has an excellent hiring process whereby they work collectively with you to determine the best fit. It doesn't matter what position you applied for, if they think your skills would fit better in another role, they will let you decide if that's the position you'd rather have by providing a lot of support (i.e. talk to people in the business, get an idea of the responsibilities in different roles). I think FIT and LONG TERM commitment is what they're looking for, a lot of the people I spoke to have been working there for a long time. Currently, Capital One is relatively small in Canada, they have almost a start-up culture, its very dynamic and a great place to start your career.

    Interview Questions

    • There were a lot of typical behavioral questions, such as "Tell me about the most innovative idea you've ever had and successfully worked through."   Answer Question
