Contino Boston, MA (US) isn't hiring right now. Check out all Contino jobs
I have been working at Contino full-time (Less than a year)
After more than a decade working through various facets of application delivery as a contractor, a consultant and a software sales engineer and across roles such as an architect, a developer, a QA engineer, I feel as though I have finally landed at an organization that truly “gets it” and where ensuring customer success is not just a tagline.
For years I have been struggling with how to truly help organizations transform their ability to deliver software, “faster, better and cheaper” and Contino is finally providing the conduit to make that possible.
Working at Contino is nearly the perfect possible model, with just the right blending of autonomy and trust from management as well as the support when you need it from some of the most intelligent and experienced peers possible. The culture of Contino is the best possible example of what DevOps is all about and collaboration, sharing, responsibility and mutual support are daily occurrences and not something that needs to be reminded of often. Although Contino is still a startup with all the benefits you would expect (basically you control your own destiny), it still provides all the key elements of a long established business (financial support, supporting teams, etc). Having worked for both traditional starving startups and large multi-generation corporations, Contino is the first company that seems to be truly unstoppable in its ability to grow and sustain that growth for some time.
As Contino grows (rapidly) in the US market, there will be a tendency to do “unnatural” things to win a logo etc and management must stay true to its founding principals. Thus far that has been the case so its not really much of a con.
What most people could find as a con, I actually see as an attractive quality (lack of certain systems and processes in place, etc). The lack of a rigid or even defined framework for everything and the opportunity to help define and shape it, is a big positive for me.
