    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Covance (Gaithersburg, MD (US)).

    Interview

The interview process begins with a telephone screening and then moves forward to an in person interview; although, I do know some that completed two telephone interviews in lieu of an in person based on the hiring managers availability. The interview process was very detailed and included the delivery of a presentation in order to showcase communication and presentation skills.

    Interview Questions

    • Covance uses targeted selection interviewing. The questions are always in a format of something like, "Tell me about a specific time that you had to deal with a customer complaint. What was the situation, how did you handle it, and what was the resolution?" You must answer all parts of the question and be as specific as possible. If you haven't given all the information needed they will ask follow up questions in order to get the details.   Answer Question
