    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton UK LLP (Edinburgh, Scotland) in October 2018.

    Interview

I filled in the application online. After meeting the entrance requirements I was invited to do an online "skills test". I did not find this particularly challenging especially compared to the big 4 skill tests. After getting through this round, I was invited to do a video interview through Hirevue and a case study ( again all online). Before this I was invited to join a Yammer forum where you could interact and see posts from others who had already completed their digital interview. After my interview I was told that I had not made it and could schedule a phone call for feedback. This was great! The woman I spoke to was super helpful and broke down what went wrong and right. It was all insight that I can actually use going forward with other applications. It was a really good and personal experience especially in comparison to the other firms I have been applying to.

    Interview Questions

    • Makes sure to specify on the role you are applying for and why you would fit this role. This question was not explicitly asked, but after getting feedback, this is mainly where I fell short and why I did not make it. Obviously this is super frustrating as its something that I could easily have prepped for. Don't make my mistake!   Answer Question
